Reflexions is not a book per se but a contained narrative. Found and altered objects and a narrative scroll are gathered in a binding box. The contents, packed or unpacked, reveal the content and intent of the story. Inspired by Angelica Kauffman's painting, Zeuxis Choosing His Models for Helen of Troy (c. 1754):

The story of Helen of Troy and her relationship with Aphrodite is consistent with my interest in narrative, drama, and concerns of the feminine. It is in line with previous works such as Punica Granatum, the story of Demeter and Persephone, which I completed in 2003. I’ve long used myth and archetype in my work, creating evocative content through the narrative power of objects, the theater of installation, and the intimacy of artists books.
