ICE Out: For the Disappeared, 2026
Acrylic and stitching on canvas, mounted on panel

Created from myriad painted strips of canvas, ICE Out: For the Disappeared was made in memory of those killed or “disappeared” amid the violence associated with ICE officers in Minneapolis during the winter of 2026.

A ribbon can serve as a marker of mourning, remembrance and solidarity. I associate the intentional wearing of a strip of cloth - a ribbon - with loss.
